| Kirkstall |
|
| Not far from the City Centre and linked to it by the main Kirkstall Road, this pretty residential area has as its focal point Kirkstall Abbey, one of Britain’s best-preserved former Abbey’s which has stood proudly since its construction in 1152. It is now the site of various concerts, Shakespeare festivals and recitals, and boasts its own museum and perfect picnic areas. Kirkstall itself offers a few, but highly praised, restaurants and a couple of great local pubs whilst the new leisure park offers a large Morrisons, Boots and others familiar faces. There’s also a handy local leisure centre and a host of private gyms down the road for the more active amongst you. |
